Notice of Pending Application for Miscellaneous Structure
Anthony Hatcher, on behalf of Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, has applied to the Department of Natural Resources for a permit for a Miscellaneous Structure on Ryan Creek. The project is located on in the NE 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 19, Township 05, Range 21 E, City of Franklin, Milwaukee County.
The project proposal is to install a structure called a "Keystone Culvert Fence" to protect a 4ft wide cement box culvert from beaver damming. The fence will be 12' in length on each side, 10' wide at the front, and be made of 6"x6" wire fence.
The Department will review the proposal provided by the applicant and any information from public comments and the public informational hearing. The Department will determine whether the proposal complies with ss. 1.11, 30.12, and s. 30.208, Stats., and ch. NR 150, Wis. Adm. Code, and ensure that the required mitigation meets the standards in s. 281.36(3r), Stats., if the project impacts wetlands.
The Department has made a tentative determination that it will issue the permit for the proposed activity.

Comments must be submitted or postmarked no later than 30 days after 3/12/2026.
If you would like to request a public informational hearing, the request must be submitted or postmarked within 20 days after 3/12/2026. A request for hearing must include the docket number or applicant name and specify the issues that the party desires to be addressed at the informational hearing. If no hearing is requested, the Department will issue its decision without a hearing. If a hearing is held, comments must be submitted or postmarked no later than 10 days following the hearing date.
