Notice of Pending Application for Wetland Disturbance
Thomas Janke has applied to the Department of Natural Resources for a Wetland Disturbance Individual Permit. The project is located on Olden Road in Sections 12 and 13, Township 16, Range 15 E, Town of Rosendale and Sections 7, 18, and 19, Township 16, Range 16 E, Town of Eldorado, Fond du Lac County.
The purpose of the project is to address a deteriorating pavement structure to provide a safe and efficient transportation system. The proposed action would reconstruct the roadway and provide adequate sight distance for the posted speed. The proposed action would also include replacement of driveway and cross culvert pipes. The roadway will be closed to through traffic during construction and will impact 0.797 acres of wetlands, requiring wetland mitigation through credit purchase or wetland creation.
The Department will review the proposal provided by the applicant and any information from public comments and the public informational hearing. The Department will determine whether the proposal complies with ss. 1.11, and s. 30.208, Stats., and ch. NR 150, Wis. Adm. Code, and ensure that the required mitigation meets the standards in s. 281.36(3r), Stats., if the project impacts wetlands.
The Department has made a tentative determination that it will issue the permit or contract for the proposed activity.
