Notice of Permit Application Town: Canterbury, CT Notice is hereby given that the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (the "applicant") of 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106-5127 has submitted to the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection an application under section 22a-208a of the Connecticut General Statutes for a permit to conduct a regulated activity in the construction, alteration, or operation of solid waste facilities. Specifically, the applicant proposes to conduct construction activities related to the closure of a landfill, referred to as the Yaworski Landfill, located at 158 Packer Road in Canterbury, CT 06331. Closure activities will include regrading the existing interim cover, integrating a geomembrane liner, consolidating existing landfill waste from the utility right-of-way, and construction of stormwater management features.
