Notice of Permit Application Town(s): Canterbury, CT Notice is hereby given that the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Emergency Response & Spill Prevention Division (the "applicant") of 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106-5127 will submit to the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection an application under Connecticut General Statutes Section(s) 22a-39 (Inland Wetlands and Watercourses). Specifically, the applicant proposes to conduct construction activities related to the closure of the Yaworski Landfill, including regrading the existing interim cover, integrating a geomembrane liner, consolidating existing landfill waste from the utility right-of-way, and constructing stormwater management features. The proposed activity will take place at 158 Packer Road, Canterbury, CT 06331. The proposed activity will potentially affect inland wetlands adjacent to the Quinebaug River.
