Notice of Proposed Enactment of Ordinance
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA; AMENDING SECTION 34-2, ARTICLE 1, CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF ASTATULA TO ADD DEFINITIONS AND CHANGE TITLE; CREATING SECTION 34-3, CONSUMPTION OR POSSESSION OF ALCHOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC; CREATING SECTION 34-4, LOCATION OF BUSINESS SELLING LIQUOR, MARIJUANA, OR CBD WHICH SHALL PROHIBIT THE SALE OF LIQUOR, MARIJUANA, OR CBD PRODUCTS WITHIN 1000 FEET OF SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, PUBLIC BUILDINGS, AND PUBLIC PARKS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR FILING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The Town Council of Astatula shall consider the adoption of the above Ordinance on Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 6:30pm, or soon thereafter as possible at The Astatula Town Hall located at 25009 C.R. 561, Astatula Florida.
The proposed Ordinance shall be available for public inspection at the Town Clerks Office Between the hours of 9am to 5pm., Monday through Friday. Interested parties may appear at the meeting, to be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, Section 286.0105, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at the meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in these proceedings should contact 352-742-1100 at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
