Beaver County Transit Authority
The Beaver County Transit Authority will hold a public hearing on Thursday November 13, 2025 at 4:00 pm to receive public comments regarding proposed service changes to BCTA's "Connect" service and a proposed fixed route fare restructure. Service changes and fare changes, which if approved, would take place at the end of the first quarter or early in the second quarter of 2026. The hearing will be held in the Board Room of the BCTA Transportation Center, located at 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074. Written comments regarding the proposed changes will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Monday November 10, 2025. All written comments should be emailed to customerservice@bcta.com, mailed or delivered in person to BCTA, 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074. All comments received in person or in writing will be reviewed by BCTA's Board of Directors and taken into consideration when making any final decisions regarding the proposed changes to the service and fares.

Proposed "Connect" Changes:
Eliminate BCTA's "Connect" service to Midland and expand weekday "Connect" service to 3 out-of-county service zones including:
Cranberry/Warrendale/Wexford
Leetsdale/Sewickley
Airport Area and Moon Township
Proposed "Fixed Route" Fare Restructure:
BASE CASH FARE:
In-County: $2.00
Out-of-County: $3.00
Express: $5.00
½ Fare (Children and Disabled)
UNLIMITED DAY PASS:
In-County: $4.00 (Onboard) or $3.00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
Out-of-County: $6:00 (Onboard) or $5:00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
Express: $9.00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
UNLIMITED WEEKLY PASS:
In-County: $18.00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
Out-of-County: $27.00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
Express: $45.00 (Mobile App or BCTA Website)
Also proposed is the elimination of the 10+1 ride ticket, 7 Day Pass and Monthly Pass. Fare boxes will no longer issue change cards. Single Ride, Unlimited Day and Weekly Passes will not be sold at BCTA's customer service center but will be available through the Mobile App or BCTA Website. An Unlimited Day Pass can be purchased on the bus. Fare boxes will issue transfer tickets and the Mobile App and BCTA Website will permit single ride tickets with a built-in transfer.
