Notice of Public Hearing Before the Mount Holly City Council & Planning Commission The City of Mount Holly City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM at City Hall, located at 400 East Central Avenue, in the first-floor City Council Chambers. This public hearing will be to consider a rezoning application and annexation petition, submitted by Chad Abernathy, involving parcel #s 177876, 177881, 177882, 177886, 177889, 177890, 203426, 203427, 208874, 177891, 214300, 312234, & 178009-approximately 70.96 acres, which seeks to rezone the above mentioned parcels from City R-12 and County R-20 to City Conditional District (B-3, L-I, and R-8MF) for multi-family townhomes as well as commercial and light industrial uses. In addition, the Mount Holly Planning Commission will hold a separate public hearing at their meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the first-floor City Council Chambers in City Hall to review, consider, and provide recommendations to the City Council, regarding the above-mentioned rezoning application. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the public hearings, where an opportunity to speak on these matters will be given.
