Notice of Public Hearings NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Public Hearings will be held by the Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) for the following matters: • Review and/or update of the sphere of influence boundaries for each of the following agencies: Ventura County Service Area Nos. 29, 30, and 34 (CSAs 29, 30, and 34), and Ventura County Waterworks District Nos. 16, 17, 19, and 38 (VCWD 16, 17, 19, and 38) Purpose of the Public Hearings: All interested persons are invited to attend, be heard, and participate in the Public Hearings. Pursuant to Government Code § 56425(g), the Commission must, as necessary, but not less frequently than every five years, review and update the sphere of influence of each city and special district. A sphere of influence is defined in Government Code § 56076 as the probable physical boundary and service area of a local agency. LAFCo is required to conduct municipal service reviews, which include written determinations, prior to or in conjunction with sphere of influence updates pursuant to Government Code § 56430. At the Public Hearings, LAFCo will consider all written and oral comments that have been submitted regarding the matters, and actions may be taken with respect to the review and/or update of the sphere of influence boundaries for each of the subject districts.
