To the qualified electors of Bronson Township:
Please take notice that any qualified elector of Bronson Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk the office of the County Clerk, a Secretary of State branch office or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Votes who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, October 20, 2025.
After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at the Bronson Township Clerk's office, located at 973 Weaver Rd, Bronson, MI 49028 at the following times:
Regular business hours; by appointment
Saturday, November 1st - from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Please take notice Bronson Township and Bronson School district will be voting on the following millage proposals as presented and listed below:
Bronson Township
Shall Bronson Township renew a millage of up to 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 5 years, 2026 through 2030 inclusive, for fire protection and equipment, which 1. mills will raise an estimated $50,000 in the first year the millage is levied?
Bronson School District
Shall Bronson Community School District, Branch and St. Joseph Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Twenty-Nine Million Nine Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($29,910,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefor, in one or more series, for the purpose of:
erecting an addition to Anderson Elementary; remodeling Anderson Elementary; equipping, re-equipping, furnishing and refurnishing Anderson Elementary; acquiring, installing, equipping and re-equipping Anderson Elementary for instructional technology; and preparing, developing, improving and equipping athletic fields, play fields, playgrounds, structures, facilities and sites?
The following is for informational purposes only:
The estimated millage that will be levied for the proposed bonds in 2026 is 4.98 mills ($4.98 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation). The maximum number of years the bonds of any series may be outstanding, exclusive of any refunding, is twenty-five (25) years. The estimated simple average annual millage anticipated to be required to retire this bond debt is 4.67 mills ($4.67 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation).
The school district does not expect to borrow from the State to pay debt service on the bonds. The total amount of qualified bonds currently outstanding is $0. The total amount of qualified loans currently outstanding is $0. The estimated computed millage rate may change based on changes in certain circumstances.
(Pursuant to State law, expenditure of bond proceeds must be audited and the proceeds cannot be used for repair or maintenance costs, teacher, administrator or employee salaries, or other operating expenses.)
