Notice of Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) This notification is required under Michigan Act 451, Public Acts of 1994, as amended, Part 31. What Happened? A sewer cleanout at a private residence in the Sylvan Glen Estates neighborhood became clogged and overflowed. Less than 15 gallons of raw sewage was spilled onto the homeowners lawn. Lime was applied to the area and the cleanout was jetted out to unplug the clog. When did the SSO discharge occur? Overflow occured at appoximately 5PM on Sunday December 14, 2025 Where did the SSO discharge occur? The overflow occurred at 6483 Shorebreeze Dr., Brighton, MI 48114 Sylvan Glen Estates is operating in compliance with its NPDES permit and applicable state and federal law.
