Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Pike Township Trustee, Fire Department and Advisory Board of Marion County, Indiana up until the hour of 3:00 p.m. on April 24, 2026 Eastern Daylight Time. Specifications will be available beginning April 6, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. through April 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 4881 West 71st Street Indianapolis, Indiana, 46268 for the following: Three (3) Fire Engine Pumpers with all components and equipment listed in these specifications. The equipment to be purchased is for the use of the Pike Township Fire Department. All bids are to be received in a sealed envelope, marked with the name and place of business of the bidder. Each bidder shall put the words "Engine Bid" on the lower left-hand corner of the sealed bid envelope. All bids shall be submitted and received no later than 3:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on April 24, 2026, at the Pike Township Fire Department Headquarters, 4881 West 71st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268. All bids received after that time will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on April 27, 2026 at the Pike Township Fire Department Headquarters. A pre-bid meeting for questions will take place at Pike Township Fire Department Headquarters, 4881 West 71st street Indianapolis, Indiana 46268, April 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Attendance is not required to bid. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on proposal forms in accordance with Indiana Form No. 96, including non-collusion affidavit, required under the statutes of the State of Indiana. The Pike Township Trustee reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, solicitations and/or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interests of the Pike Township Trustee. These Specifications are in no way intended to prevent any manufacturer from submitting a bid because of too detailed a specification. We can only make specifications as a fire department with the knowledge that we have of past experiences and the current literature on hand. This specification is to be used as the build agreement; deviations from this specification must be in writing and signed by the Pike Township Fire Department Division Chief of Support Services. Exceptions to the Pike Township Fire Department Specifications will be considered. Any exceptions or deviations to the specifications must be individually identified and specifically referenced to the pertinent section. Bidding stock trucks with the intentions of adding components and increasing the bid amount at a later date will be cause for rejection of Bid. No Exceptions. Specifications are available and bids shall be furnished according to those specifications. This vehicle must meet O.S.H.A., Federal Highway Safety Acts*,and N.F.P.A. Publication 1901 requirements unless specifically addressed or otherwise changed in these specifications.
* Note Federal standards of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 will not be altered.
