Notice to Private School or Home School Representatives Regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requires public school districts to consult with representatives of private schools for the purpose of determining the number of private school children with disabilities and their special education needs. This includes students who may be enrolled in homeschool associations. While no private school or homeschool child is entitled to any specific services, the collaborative meeting will allow for discussion of some level of possible services available based on the district's proportion of the students with disabilities enrolled in private schools. Only students identified as disabled and reported on the district's child count will generate funds for services. In order to better serve you, Spartanburg County Schools invite you to attend an information session on April 2nd at 10:00 am at the Spartanburg District Six Administrative Offices, 1390 Cavalier Way, Roebuck, SC 29376.
