VILLAGE OF BUTLER
PUBLIC NOTICE TO CONTROL NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice is hereby given to each person who owns, occupies or controls land in the Village of Butler, Waukesha County, State of Wisconsin, that they are required to cut rank growth of vegetation and destroy all noxious weeds on said land before such weeds bloom, bear seed and spread to adjoining land, as defined in and required under Village Code Section 22.67 and Section 66.0407, Wis. Stats. Owners and other responsible persons for lots or parcels are also required to maintain lawns at a height not to exceed 8 inches under the Village's Code Section 22-68.
The term "noxious weeds" shall include, but is not limited to the following: Canada thistle and other thistle varieties, leafy spurge, field bindweed, wild garlic mustard, rag weed, poison ivy, and any other rank growth of vegetation, weeds, grasses or plants that are a hazard as defined in Section 22.67(1) of the Village code.
If property is found to be not in compliance with the above Village Code requirements, the Village of Butler shall issue a written notice stating that action must be taken within five days after service of said written notice or the Village will cut and/or destroy the noxious weeds or rank growth of vegetation at the landowner expense in accordance with Section 22-67(4) and 22-67(5) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Butler.
