ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE Index No. E2025017905 STATE OF NEW YORK SUPREME COURT COUNTY OF MONROE CITY OF ROCHESTER, Petitioner, vs. Ralph REICHHART, Owner-Respondent, HOUSEHOLD FINANCE REALTY CORPORATION OF NEW YORK, DLJ MORTGAGE CAPITAL, INC, COUNTY OF MONROE, Mortgage and Lienholder Respondents Subject Property: 405 Hague Street, Rochester, NY 14611 Based on the attached Verified Petition of the City of Rochester dated August 14, 2025, the affidavit of Casmic Reid, sworn to on August 13, 2025, the affirmation of Michael Furlano, sworn to on August 14, 2025, and all attached exhibits, let the Respondents in this matter show cause before this the Hon. Kevin M. Nasca, JSC, presiding, at the Hall of Justice, 99 Exchange Blvd, Rochester, NY, on October 24, 2025, at 2:30 PM, why an Order should not be made granting the City of Rochester the following relief: Declaring the subject property abandoned and vesting title to the subject property in the City of Rochester free and clear of all right, title, interest, claim, lien, or equity of redemption of the Owner, mortgagees, and all other persons, pursuant to Article 19-A of the Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law. Sufficient reason being presented for the relief requested, it is also: ORDERED that service of a copy of this Order and a copy of the papers upon which it is granted, by: (1) Publication at lease once in each of four successive weeks in the Democrat and Chronicle and in the Daily Record on the Respondent Owner Ralph Reichhart and all heirs; (2) Affixing to the subject property in a conspicuous location; and (3) Personal service pursuant to Article 3 of the N.Y. Civil Procedure Laws and Rules for all mortgage and lienholders Respondents, shall be deemed good and sufficient service; and it is further ORDERED, that responses are due by October 9, 2025, and a reply is due by October 16, 2025, and it is further ORDERED that an Affidavit of Service of this Order To Show Cause and the supporting paper, thereto shall be filed at least 10 days prior to the return date.
