ORDINANCE NO. 638 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 165.38(B) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DALLAS CENTER, IOWA, AS AMENDED, (ZONING CODE) BY INCLUDING CITY HALLS AND CITY ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDINGS AS PERMITTED USES IN THE C-1 ZONING DISTRICT

ORDINANCE NO. 638 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 165.38(B) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DALLAS CENTER, IOWA, AS AMENDED, (ZONING CODE) BY INCLUDING CITY HALLS AND CITY ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDINGS AS PERMITTED USES IN THE C-1 ZONING DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Dallas Center conducted a public hearing at 7 p.m. on March 10, 2026, on a proposed amendment to Section 165.38(B) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dallas Center, Iowa, as amended, by including city halls and city administrative buildings as permitted uses in the C-1 Zoning District. BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Dallas Center, Iowa, that: SECTION 1. Section 165.38(B) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dallas Center, Iowa, as amended, is hereby amended to include "City halls and city administrative buildings" in the listing of Principal Permitted Uses to be inserted alphabetically within the current listing of uses. SECTION 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part there of not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. When Effective. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
