Open House Public Meeting Notice October 13, 2025, 5:30 P.M. MACON CITY HALL 10539 SOUTH WOODCOCK For: Sidewalk Improvements for Safe Routes to School The City of Macon will hold an Open House regarding a proposed sidewalk improvement project funded by the Safe Routes to School Program. The Open House will be held at the Macon City Hall 10539 South Woodcock Macon, IL 62544 on October 13, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this meeting. Persons with a disability planning to attend this meeting should contact and notify Kim Miller, listed below, if any special accommodations are required. The meeting room is accessible to persons with a disability. The proposed improvements primarily consist of the construction of ADA compliant concrete paths along existing right-of-way through-out the City. Working away from the school, other sidewalk improvements may be included as necessary. Grade crossings in the area will also be improved for mobility. All proposed improvements will meet the American Disability Act requirements and ensure a safe route to school and pedestrian environment for all students. Additional right-of-way and easements are not anticipated to construct the proposed concrete path. The meeting will be conducted on an informal basis with a brief project summary on the status of the project. Representatives of the City of Macon will be present at the Open House to discuss any project details and answer individual questions. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. Written comments will be accepted and placed into the record. Preliminary maps and aerial photography will be available for inspection and viewing during the entire time.
