AUTHORITY HARRISON HOMES SOUTH SECTION 18 PUBLIC HEARING LOCATION CHANGE
The Peoria Housing Authority is amending its Annual and/or Five Year PHA plan. The Development of Harrison Homes South has been selected for a Section 18 Application, for demolition and/or disposition. A public notice was sent out, stating the public hearing would be on May 6th, at the Harrison Homes office. Due to anticipated attendance, the meeting has been moved to 312 S. Merriman Street (Frank Campbell Community Center) at 5p on May 6th. Transportation will be provided for the families of Peoria Housing Authority, starting with pickup at the Harrison Homes office at 3:30p. Transportation will then pick up from Sterling Towers, Providence Pointe, and 2321 N Wisconsin St (Family Dollar). The meeting can also be attended electronically. The draft of the proposed significant amendment is available for review on the Peoria Housing Authority website at peoriahousing.org, and at 100 S. Richard Pryor Place, Peoria, Illinois 61605. Comments may be made in writing and presented to the Peoria Housing Authority office (100 S. Richard Pryor Place, Peoria IL 61605) or emailed to: comments@peoriahousing.org no later than 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026. All comments received throughout the public comment period will be presented to the Board of Commissioners before voting on this proposed Significant Amendment at the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
