POLK COUNTY PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING DIVISION RFQ NO. 015-2526 LEAD HAZARD CONTROL CONTRACTORS FOR THE POLK COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, LEAD PROGRAM OFFICIAL PUBLICATION On behalf of the Polk County Board of Supervisors, and the Health Department Lead Division, the Polk County Procurement and Purchasing Division will receive sealed proposals from certified lead abatement contractors for the provision of services which focus on eliminating lead hazards from pre-1978 homes in Polk County. Interested Contractors may obtain information and submit proposals via BidNet Direct until proposal submission deadline/closing date and time of May 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST at: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/iowa/polkcounty. Any Contractor not yet registered on BidNet Direct may sign up for a free account for access to this posting and be included in all future Polk County solicitations. It is the policy of Polk County to allow the Polk County Board of Supervisors the discretion of showing preference in purchasing goods and services from Contractors who produce goods or maintain an office in Iowa. Preference may also be given to goods produced in Polk County or to Contractors maintaining an office in Polk County. Further, it is the policy of Polk County to actively solicit and seek out local Contractors of goods and services and to encourage said Contractors to stock and supply Iowa-made products.
