PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE ON PROPOSED BUDGET
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Public Act 43 of 1963 (2nd Ex. Sess.), Section 141.412, the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners announces a BUDGET HEARING for the 2026 General Fund Budget during their scheduled board meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 6:05 p.m. at the Old Courthouse, County Commissioners Chambers, located at 301 North Main Street, Adrian, MI.
"The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing."
Proposed Millage Rates for 2026 Budget:
County Operating: 5.4000, Lenawee Medical Care Facility Special: .1894,
Department on Aging Special: .7472, Veterans Relief: .0150
All residents will have the opportunity to give written or oral comments. Written comments may be submitted in advance of the hearing to the County Administrator's Office, 301 N. Main Street, Adrian, Michigan 49221. Copies of the recommended budget may be obtained from this office and are also available online at lenawee.mi.us.
Lenawee County will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the public hearing to individuals with disabilities. Signers and audio tapes, of the printed materials being considered at the meeting, will be provided for the hearing impaired.
