PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Hainesport Joint Land Use Board
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that upon the Application of Hoppecke Batteries Inc. (the "Applicant"), the Hainesport Township Joint Land Use Board shall conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, commencing at 6:30 P.M., in the meeting room at the Hainesport Township Municipal Building, One Hainesport Centre, Hainesport, New Jersey 08036, when it will consider the Applicant's request for Use Variance Approval (and, if necessary, Waiver of Site Plan Review or Site Plan Approval) for the temporary use of four (4) outdoor storage trailers/pods (the "Storage Pods") at the Applicant's existing operational facility, located on an 8.75 +/- acre property, within an Industrial "I" Zoning District, which contains a one story industrial building with associated parking areas, site signage and other facilities, is owned by the Applicant, has a street address of 2 Berry Drive, and is more particularly known as Block 96, Lot 2.02, on the Official Tax Maps of Hainesport Township (the "Property").
The Applicant's operations involving the manufacture of industrial battery systems are a permitted, Heavy Manufacturing use within the I Zoning District and on the Property. However, the storage of materials in Storage Pods is not specifically permitted by Ordinance and, therefore, the Applicant is requesting Use Variance Approval for the temporary use of the Storage Pods for the storage of battery related materials which are necessary for use in connection with the Applicant's operations.
At the public hearing, the Applicant will request any and all other approvals, interpretations, waivers, exceptions, variances (including any required in connection with the temporary loss of parking spaces), and any other relief that is deemed to be necessary for the temporary use of the Storage Pods on the Property. At the public hearing you may appear in person, or by agent or attorney and present any objection or support you have in connection with the Application. This Notice is being sent to you because the Property may be within 200 feet of property owned by you, or is otherwise required by law.
The public may inspect all documents relating to this Application (Case #26-04) during normal business hours in the office of the Secretary of the Joint Land Use Board in the Township Municipal Building, One Hainesport Centre, Hainesport, New Jersey 08036.
