PUBLIC HEARING (S) ON
PROPOSED ENACTMENT ORDINANCE(S)
The City Commission of the City of Daytona Beach will meet and hold public hearings on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commission Chambers, Room 290, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The proposed Ordinance(s) listed by title below will be considered for final adoption. The public may inspect the proposed Ordinance(s) at the City Clerk's Office, Room 210, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance(s). Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure, at his/her own expense, the taking and preparation of a verbatim record of all testimony and evidence of the proceeding upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), persons needing a special accommodation to participate in the Commission proceedings should contact the City Clerk's Office not later than three (3) days prior to the proceedings at 386-671-8023.
The title(s) of the proposed Ordinance(s) are as follows:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) RELATING TO TREE PRESERVATION; AMENDING ARTICLE 4, 6, AND 11 OF THE LDC TO MODIFY THE REQUIREMENTS FOR LANDSCAPING, TREE PRESERVATION AND MITIGATION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) RELATING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING; AMENDING SECTION 6.22 OF THE LDC TO EXPAND ELIGIBILITY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING INCENTIVES AND TO AUTHORIZE ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL OF CERTAIN QUALIFYING AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS, EXCEPT WHERE PUBLIC HEARINGS ARE MANDATED BY STATE LAW; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
