PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF GROTON LOCAL LAW #1 OF 2026 A public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Groton on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM, at the Town Hall located at 101 Conger Boulevard, Groton, New York. Proposed Local Law #1 for the Year 2026 is a local law providing for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (the Uniform Code) and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code (the Energy Code) in the Town of Groton. This local law is adopted pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law. Except as otherwise provided in the Uniform Code, the Energy Code, other state law, or specific sections of this local law, all buildings, structures, and premises, regardless of use or occupancy, are subject to the provisions of the local law. At the time and place of the public hearing, the Town Board will take statements, testimony, and evidence from the public.
