PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION, CLIFFDALE LANDFILL

PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION, CLIFFDALE LANDFILL S&ME, Raleigh, NC is notifying interested parties in the vicinity of the closed Cumberland County/Cliffdale LF, 7581 Lowell Harris Road, Fayetteville, Cumberland County, NC, of an upcoming Public Information Session. The purpose of the Information Session is to inform nearby residents that an underground landfill gas issue is known to exist, to update those concerned parties that assessment monitoring is ongoing, and to inform the public that remediation planning has begun. The participation of neighboring residents is encouraged. The Public Information Session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 6:30 to 8:00 pm, at Lake Rim Recreation Center, 1455 Hoke Loop Rd, Fayetteville. Representatives of the NC Department of Environmental Quality and Cumberland County are expected to be in attendance. Questions may be submitted in advance or presented orally at the public forum.
