PUBLIC NOTICE Borough of Wallington NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Resolution was passed at the reorganization meeting of the Borough Council of the Borough of Wallington, County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, held on January 7, 2026. A copy of this resolution has been posted on the bulletin board upon which public notices are customarily posted in the Wallington Civic Center and a copy is available at the Office of the Borough Clerk in said Civic Center in Wallington, NJ. Resolution 2026-001 SCHEDULE OF COUNCIL MEETINGS, CAUCUS/WORK & PUBLIC SESSIONS WHEREAS, Chapter 231 of the Public Laws of 1975, known as the "Open Public Meeting Act"; and requires the fixing of regular meeting of the Governing Body of the Borough for the Calendar Year 2025 and the giving of adequate notice thereof to the public and the press; and WHEREAS, Section 14 of said law provides that any person may request that the Governing Body mail to him or her copies of any regular meeting schedule or revision thereof and written advance notice of a least forty-eight (48) hours of the agenda (to the extent known) and the time, date and location of any regular, special or rescheduled meeting upon prepayment by such person of a reasonable sum as may be fixed by Resolution of the Governing Body to cover the costs of providing such notices; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Governing Body of the Borough of Wallington, County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, as follows: Caucus/Work Session January 7, 2026 (Sine Die & Reorganization) February 5, 2026 March 5, 2026 April 2, 2026 May 7, 2026 June 4 ,2026 July 9, 2026 - Combined Session August 13, 2026 - Combined Session September 3, 2026 October 8, 2026 November 12, 2026 - Combined Session December 17, 2026 - Combined Session Public Session January 22, 2026 February 26, 2026 March 19, 2026 April 16, 2026 May 21, 2026 June 18, 2026 September 17, 2026 October 29, 2026 All the meetings regularly scheduled, as set forth in the table above, shall be held in the Wallington Civic Center, 24 Union Boulevard, Wallington, New Jersey. These meetings shall commence at 6:30 p.m. or at such times as may be deemed appropriate by the Governing Body. Formal action may or may not be taken at each of the aforesaid meetings. All persons who request that the Governing Body mail copies of this meeting schedule, and any revisions thereto, and any written notice of the agenda (to the extent known) and the time, date, and location of any regular, special or rescheduled meeting, shall be mailed such notices upon pre-payment by such persons of the sum of $50.00 to the Municipal Clerk. Upon receiving such request and pre-payment, the Municipal Clerk shall prepare a list of all such persons and mail the requested notices in accord with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act. Upon receipt of a request to cancel such notice request by any person, the Municipal Clerk shall refund a pro-rata portion of the fee based upon the percentage of the notices sent to the anticipated number of notices media of any agenda for any regular, special or executive meeting shall be mailed to such media. The Record is hereby designated as the newspaper, which shall receive all notices required to be sent pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 231 of the Public Laws of 1975. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded, forthwith, to the newspaper aforesaid by the Municipal Clerk. The Municipal Clerk shall file a copy thereof in their office and shall post the same in a public place reserved for such announcements within the Municipal Building.
