Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Annual Action Plan PY 2026
The City of Colonial Heights will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Colonial Heights City Hall Chambers, 201 James Avenue. The hearing is a component of the citizen participation plan that contributes to developing the Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan identifies how the City will utilize this year's allocation of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds.
The City encourages citizens to attend, especially the low and moderate-income citizens and residents of low and moderate-income neighborhoods, to express their opinions concerning the needs of the City and their views on impediments to housing.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at 7:00 PM in City Council Chambers located at 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia to consider the following:
1) Citizen comments on the PY2026 Annual Action Plan
2) Approval of the PY2026 Annual Action Plan
The citizen comment period will start on Friday, May 8th, 2026, and conclude on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. During the comment period, a draft of the Annual Action Plan will be available at the City Hall Planning Department (201 James Ave, 1st Floor) and will be posted on the City website (http://www.colonialheightsva.gov/). All citizens and stakeholders are encouraged to submit comments.

Administrative Funds: $4,680
Total CDBG Funds: $93,596
Displacement Statement: No displacement will be required by the activities to be undertaken with CDBG PY2026 assistance.
