PUBLIC NOTICE – INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, will receive sealed electronic bids via PennBid for the Newtown Creek Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge and Trail Project. The project includes construction of approximately 692 LF of trail, consisting of a 170-foot timber bridge over Newtown Creek and a 495-foot asphalt path between North Sycamore Street and Edgeboro Drive at Frost Lane, located in Newtown Township and Newtown Borough, Bucks County, PA. Work includes fencing, landscaping, hardscaping, and amenities. Plans and specifications are available at no cost on PennBid. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 295 North Sycamore Street (Rear), Newtown, PA 18940. Bids are due by 11:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2026, and will be opened electronically via PennBid. Bid security in the amount of 10% is required. Prevailing wage rates apply. Performance and payment bonds (100% each) are required. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract in its best interest.
