PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION Notice is hereby given that application has been made to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for consent to merge First Savings Bank, an Indiana commercial bank, with its main office located at 702 North Shore Drive, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130, with and into First Merchants Bank, an Indiana commercial bank, with its main office located at 200 East Jackson Street, Muncie, Indiana 47305, with First Merchants Bank surviving the merger. It is contemplated that all branches of First Merchants Bank and First Savings Bank will continue to operate after the proposed merger, with branches of First Savings Bank becoming branches of First Merchants Bank. This notice is published pursuant to Section 18(c) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. Section 1828(c)) and 12 C.F.R. Sections 303.65 and 303.7 of the regulations of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This notice will appear on three (3) occasions: October 7, 2025, October 17, 2025 and October 31, 2025. Any person wishing to comment on this application may file his or her comments in writing with the Regional Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation at 300 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 1700, Chicago, Illinois 60606, no later than November 6, 2025. The nonconfidential portions of the application are on file at the appropriate FDIC office and are available for public inspection during regular business hours. Photocopies of the nonconfidential portion of the application file will be made available upon request.
