Through the Choose How You Move initiative, Jefferson Street, from Ed Temple Boulevard/28th Avenue North to Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, was identified for improvements. The Jefferson Street Corridor Study will explore ways to enhance traffic safety, walking and biking conditions, transit access, and neighborhood connections along Jefferson Street, consistent with the goals of the Choose How You Move initiative.
The community workshops for the Jefferson Street Corridor Study are designed to give the public a meaningful opportunity to share input through a charrette-style collaborative format. Led by representatives from NDOT and Nashville Planning, these workshops will feature focused engagement activities to gather feedback on the draft vision and goals, preliminary need and purpose statement, draft corridor alternative concepts, and draft community needs. Additionally, NDOT and Nashville Planning will use the workshops to educate attendees about the Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study, a key component of the corridor study. Participants are welcome to engage as their schedules allow—whether by dropping in for a single discussion or staying for the full workshop experience. All input will be captured, synthesized, and shared with the community in future public meetings.
Following the community workshops, materials, including the PowerPoint presentation and display boards, will be available for download on the project website at: https://engage.nashville.gov/jeffersonstreetstudy.
