PUBLIC NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

PUBLIC NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROJECT: PROPOSED NEW WATER SUPPLY WELL LOCATION: N WESTGATE ROAD, HARWICH, MA PROPONENT: HARWICH WATER DEPARTMENT The undersigned is submitting an Environmental Notification Form ("ENF") to the Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs on or before January 14, 2026. This will initiate review of the above project pursuant to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act ("MEPA", M.G.L. c. 30, s.s. 61-62I). Copies of the ENF may be obtained from: sarah.dignard@gza.com or by mailing your request to: Sarah Dignard, GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., 249 Vanderbilt Avenue, Harwich, MA 02062. Phone requests may be made at 781-364-5088. Electronic copies of the ENF are also being sent to the Conservation Commission and Planning Board of Harwich, Massachusetts. The Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs will publish notice of the ENF in the Environmental Monitor, will receive public comments on the project for 20 days, and will then decide, within ten days, if an Environmental Impact Report is needed. A site visit and/or remote consultation session on the project may also be scheduled. All persons wishing to comment on the project, or to be notified of a site visit and/or remote consultation session, should email MEPA@mass.gov. Mail correspondence will continue to be accepted, though responses may be delayed.
