BOX 8 BLOOMFIELD, IN 47424 Phone (812) 384-8261 PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF MODIFICATION TO NON-RECURRING CHARGES On or about December 5, 2025, EASTERN HEIGHTS UTILITIES, INC. (EHU) will file a request with the INDIANA UTILITY REGULATORY COMMISSION (IURC) to increase the current Tap Fee and to establish a System Development Charge. The current Tap Fee for a single 5/8-inch meter installation is $1,685.00 and EHU is proposing to increase the Tap Fee for a single 5/8-inch meter installation to $1,960.00. EHU is also proposing to increase the additional Tap Fee for a Dual 5/8-inch meter installation from $385.00 to $517.00, in addition to the first 5/8-inch meter Tap Fee of $1,960.00. The reason for this increase is due to the increase in material cost and equipment and labor cost associated with the installation of a new water tap. EHU is also proposing to establish a new System Development Charge that will be assessed to new water system customers for system capacity. The System Development Charge for a 5/8-inch meter is proposed at $2,565.00, with larger meter connections reflected at equivalent meter charge rates. The proposed increases are for non-recurring charges only and do not affect retail water rates. Eastern Heights Utilities anticipates that the IURC will approve the above thirty-day filing no sooner than thirty days after the date of the filing.
