PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE

PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE City of Grimes plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under the NPDES General Permit No. 2 "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities". The stormwater discharge will be from S James Street and S 19th Street Improvements located in SE ¼ of Section 6, the NE ¼ of Section 7, the SW ¼ of Section 5, and the NW ¼ of Section 8 of T-79N R-25W in Polk County. Storm water will be discharged from 2 point source(s) and will be discharged to the following streams: unnamed tributaries into Beaver Creek and to unnamed tributaries into North Walnut Creek. Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034.
