PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE City of Altoona plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under the NPDES General Permit No. 2 "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities". The stormwater discharge will be from Construction activity related to roadway and public utility construction located in NE 1/4 Sec. 2 T79N R23W, NW 1/4 Sec. 2 T79N R23W, NW 1/4 Sec. 3 T79N R23W, SE 1/4 Sec. 34 T80N R23W, SE 1/4 Sec. 35 T80N R23W, SW 1/4 Sec. 35 T80N R23W. Storm water will be discharged from 8 point source(s) and will be discharged to the following streams: Unnamed tributaries to Muchikinock Creek to Middle Fourmile Creek, Polk County, IA. Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034.
