PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE Iowa DOT plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under the NPDES General Permit No. 2 "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities". The stormwater discharge will be from roadway widening and interchange reconstruction at the SW I-35/80/235 Interchange in West Des Moines, extending from 60th Street through Valley West Drive interchange and from Ashworth Road through University Avenue interchange. located in NW 1/4 Sec. 4 T78N R25W, SW 1/4 Sec. 4 T78N R25W, NE 1/4 Sec. 5 T78N R25W, NW 1/4 Sec. 5 T78N R25W, SE 1/4 Sec. 5 T78N R25W, SW 1/4 Sec. 5 T78N R25W, NE 1/4 Sec. 6 T78N R25W, NW 1/4 Sec. 6 T78N R25W, SE 1/4 Sec. 6 T78N R25W, SW 1/4 Sec. 6 T78N R25W, NE 1/4 Sec. 1 T78N R26W, SE 1/4 Sec. 1 T78N R26W, SE 1/4 Sec. 32 T79N R25W, SW 1/4 Sec. 33 T79N R25W. Storm water will be discharged from 6 point source(s) and will be discharged to the following streams: Jordan Creek and Walnut Creek. Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034.
