PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE MidAmerican Energy Company plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under the NPDES General Permit No. 2 "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities". The stormwater discharge will be from Construction of a 161kV power line and associated utility poles. located in NE 1/4 Sec. 8 T79N R06W; NW 1/4 Sec. 8 T79N R06W; SE 1/4 Sec. 8 T79N R06W; SW 1/4 Sec. 9 T79N R06W; Johnson County, Iowa City, Iowa near the Lower Finkbine Trail. Storm water will be discharged from 2 point source(s) and will be discharged to the following streams: Lower Clear Creek, Ralston Creek then Iowa River. Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, The public may obtain further information or request to review the NOI after it has been received by the department at https://programs.iowadnr.gov/stormwater/, or by contacting the Iowa DNR at 6200 Park Ave Ste 220, Des Moines IA 50321, by phone at 515-725-8200, or by emailing stormwater@dnr.iowa.gov..
