PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORMWATER DISCHARGE

PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORMWATER DISCHARGE City of West Des Moines plans to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater General Permit No. 2 - Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities. The stormwater discharge will be from construction activities associated with roadway construction including grading, utilities, and paving operations. The stormwater discharge will be located in SW 1/4 Section 3, SE 1/4 Section 4, NE 1/4 Section 9, NW 1/4 Section 10, Township 78N, Range 25W, Polk County; generally along Ashworth Road from 19th Street to 23rd Street. Stormwater will be discharged to the following receiving streams: Fairmeadows Creek.
