PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORMWATER DISCHARGE

PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORMWATER DISCHARGE City of Waukee plans to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater General Permit No. 2 - Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities. The stormwater discharge will be from construction activities associated with roadway, parking, and sidewalk construction including grading, utilities, and paving operations. The stormwater discharge will be located in NW 1/4, Section 33, Township 79N, Range 26W, Dallas County; generally along Ashworth Dr from 7th St to 5th St, 6th Street from Ashworth Dr to Cherry St, Walnut St from 6th St to 5th St, and Locust St from 7th St to 5th St, as well as the interior of Triangle Park. Stormwater will be discharged to the following receiving streams: Storm sewer to an unnamed tributary to Sugar Creek.
