PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Board of the City of Rahway on October 28, 2025, at 7:00 pm in the Municipal Council Chambers, Rahway City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, Rahway, N.J. 07065, for the application of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church for the purpose of preliminary site plan approval for the property known and designated as Block 223, Lots 6,7,15 and 16, also known as 211 West Grand Avenue, Rahway, N.J. The purpose of the application is to permit the Church to construct an attached building which would not be subject to flooding as the current basement area is and would provide space to be utilized for Sunday school activities, kitchen equipment, meetings, Church events, storage of records to prevent loss due to flooding and access by handicapped individuals to toilet facilities. The variance is being requested to allow construction of this accessory building within six (6) feet of the adjoining neighbor's yard.
