PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Hutton Linden E Edgar NJ ST, LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the City of Linden Zoning Board of Adjustment ("Board") regarding real property located at 2201 East Edgar Road (U.S. Route 1-9), and designated as block 434, lot 14.02 on the municipal tax map. In 2022, the Board granted a use variance and preliminary and final major site plan approval to construct a 3,844 sf Modwash express car wash with 1 washing tunnel, 19 vacuum parking spaces and associated improvements. That approval was memorialized on July 11, 2022 in Resolution number 2022-3. The Applicant now returns to the Board seeking amended site plan approval to modify the architectural design of the building.
The Applicant does not require any known variances in connection with this application other than the variances which were granted at the time of preliminary and final major site plan approval in 2022.
The Applicant is also requesting any additional variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, conditional use approval, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, other approvals and permits reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff prior to or at any public hearing on this application.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on January 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in-person in the City of Linden, City Hall, Third Floor, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's office in the City of Linden, City Hall, Third Floor, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey and is available for public inspection during regular business hours.
