Blue Ridge Landfill Company, a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill operating under Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Permit Number 100934, opened a Recyclable Drop-off Center in September 1990. The Drop-off Center is located at 1660 Orchard Road, Chambersburg, PA. It is operated in compliance with Section 1502(b) of Act 101, The Municipal Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act (53 P.S. 4000, 1502 (b)).
The Drop-off Center accepts the following recyclables: aluminum cans, steel and bimetallic beverage cans, plastics and cardboard.
The operating hours for the Recyclable Drop-off Center are: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm; Saturday 7:30 am to 10:30 am. Persons with questions regarding the acceptance of recyclables should contact, the Landfill Office at 717-261-2682.
