PUBLIC NOTICE BOROUGH OF ENGLISHTOWN UNIFIED PLANNING/ZONING BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSING ELEMENT AND FAIR SHARE PLAN (HESP) PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Unified Planning/Zoning Board of the Borough of Englishtown will hold a public hearing on March 10, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the Municipal Building, 15 Main Street, Englishtown, New Jersey 07726, to consider for adoption an amendment to the Borough's adopted Housing Element and Fair Share Plan The Amended HESP proposes revisions to the Borough's Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, including updated compliance mechanisms and implementation measures to address the Borough's fair share obligation for the provision of low- and moderate-income housing, together with related amendments to previously approved affordable housing strategies as may be necessary to maintain consistency with applicable law and settlement requirements. At the public hearing, the Unified Planning/Zoning Board will hear all persons interested in the Amended HESP and will thereafter consider the adoption of the Amended HESP by resolution, in accordance with the New Jersey Fair Housing Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301 et seq., and the Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq. Any interested party may appear at the hearing, either in person or by attorney, and present comments, objections, or support regarding the Amended HESP. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the Amended HESP will be available for public inspection at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing during regular business hours in the office of the Municipal Clerk/Administrative Officer at the Englishtown Municipal Building, 15 Main Street, Englishtown, New Jersey 07726, and will also be posted on the Borough's website, www.englishtownnj.com This notice is provided pursuant to the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law and applicable affordable housing regulations.
