PUBLIC NOTICE
The Hopewell Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing at a meeting on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 300 North Main Street, Hopewell, Virginia 23860, for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the following request in accordance with Article XIX Provisions for Appeal, of the Hopewell Zoning Ordinance and the Code of Virginia 15.2-2311.
A variance request submitted by Virginia American Water to construct a flood-proofed structure below Base Flood Elevation in a designated VE Zone on Parcel #066-0888, also identified as 915 Riverside Ave., and zoned B-3 Highway Commercial District.

Main St., Hopewell, Virginia 23860, during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
