PUBLIC NOTICE
Drake Voorhees LLC (the "Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Voorhees Township Planning Board ("Board") regarding real property located at 73 N.J.S.H. Route 73 and designated as block 272, lot 4 on the municipal tax map. The Applicant seeks preliminary and final major site plan approval to develop the property with a Tesla automobile sales and service facility.
The Applicant seeks approval of the following variances under the municipal land use ordinance:
1. Section 150.15(E)(6) states functional/directional signs shall not exceed 3 sf in area per sign. The proposed directional signage area exceeds 3 sf.
2. Section 150.15(H)(2)(A) permits two façade signs. Three façade signs are proposed.
3. Section 150.15(H)(2)(A) requires that signs shall not project or extend more than two feet beyond the building line and shall not exceed 15% of the facade area of the establishment facing the street, including window and door area on which they are displayed or 150 sf, whichever is smaller. The total sign area on two facades exceeds the maximum requirement of 150 sf although both remain below the threshold of 15% of the overall façade area.
The Applicant also requests any additional variances, submission waivers, additional exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board on April 22, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. (caucus at 6:45 p.m.) in-person in the Voorhees Township Town Hall, Courtroom, 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey 08043, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's office in the Voorhees Township Town Hall, 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey 08043 and is available for public inspection during regular business hours.
