PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Cultura Books LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Borough of Collingswood Planning Board of Adjustment ("Board") regarding real property located at 606 Haddon Avenue, Unit 1106, designated as block 96.01, lot 13, qualifier C606 on the municipal tax map. The property consists of an approximately 1,215 sf commercial condominium unit located on the first floor of the Collingswood Lumberyard development. The property is in the CBD (Central Business District) and was formerly used as a Pilates studio. The Applicant proposes to convert the commercial condo unit to a retail bookstore. Bookstores are a permitted use in the CBD district. No changes to the exterior of the building are proposed, other than replacing the panel of the existing sign. The Applicant seeks change of use and site plan waiver approval for the proposed bookstore.
The Applicant also requests any variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on April 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in-person at the Borough of Collingswood, Community Center, 30 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, New Jersey, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's office in the Borough of Collingswood, Community Center, 30 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, New Jersey and is available for public inspection during regular business hours.
