PUBLIC NOTICE Please take notice that the West Stanislaus Irrigation District (WSID) contemplates transferring or exchanging for return up to or in excess of 10,000 acre-feet of its Central Valley Project ("CVP") water supply contract with the United States Bureau of Reclamation for water year 2026-2027. The quantity transferred will result in the transfer of more than 20 percent of the agency's contract supply, therefore this notice is provided in accordance with Section 3405(a)(2)(B) of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA). These types of historic, routine temporary transfers help provide supplemental water to agricultural users facing ongoing water supply shortages. Environmental review of these types of transfers has been completed, but the implementation of the transfer is subject to the acknowledgement of the Secretary of the Interior. Members of the public are invited to submit comments, ask questions or provide relevant information concerning the proposed transfer described in this notice.
