PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Cranbury Family Apartments, LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Cranbury Township Planning Board ("Board") regarding real property located at 1260 South River Road and designated as Block 5, Lot 18 on the municipal tax map. The Property is approximately 11.94 acres and is currently improved with three vacant buildings. The Property is currently located in the Light Industrial (LI) Zone and the 1260 South River Road Redevelopment Area. The Applicant seeks preliminary and final major site plan and subdivision approval to build a 100% affordable multi-family residential apartment community consisting of one hundred sixty-five affordable family rental apartment units and associated site improvements. The Applicant proposes to subdivide the existing lot into three (3) proposed lots to be known as Lots 18.01, 18.02 and 18.03. The Applicant proposes to build one (1) building on each of the proposed lots, in three phases. In Phase 1, the Applicant would construct a sixty-two (62) unit building on proposed lot 18.01; in Phase 2, a sixty (60) unit building on proposed lot 18.02; and in Phase 3, a forty-three (43) unit building on proposed lot 18.03.
The Applicant does not require any known variances in connection with this application.
The Applicant also requests any variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on June 4, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in-person in the Cranbury Township Meeting Room, Town Hall, 23-A North Main Street, Cranbury, New Jersey 08512, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's offices located at Town Hall, 23-A North Main Street, Cranbury, New Jersey and is available for public inspection during regular business days and hours. The application may be adjourned to another date without further notice to you and you are advised to contact the Board office in order to confirm the date and time of the hearing.
