PUBLIC NOTICE
LAFOURCHE PARISH GAME AND FISH COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Louisiana Open Meetings Law, La. R.S. 42:11 et seq., and La. R.S. 56:722, that the Lafourche Parish Game and Fish Commission will hold a public hearing as part of its regular meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at Lockport Town Hall, 710 Church Street, Lockport, Louisiana 70374.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider the adoption of (1) a Master Surface Lease that would be the standard form of lease used by the Commission for camp locations on Commission-controlled water bottoms in Lafourche Parish; (2) an amendment to Article IV of the Commission's Bylaws governing the allocation by lot of available camp locations; and (3) a resolution authorizing transmittal of the adopted Rule and Bylaw amendment to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission for approval and promulgation pursuant to La. R.S. 56:727 and the Louisiana Administrative Procedure Act, La. R.S. 49:950 et seq.
The full text of the proposed Master Surface Lease, the proposed Article IV amendment, the Notice of Intent, and the Family, Poverty, and Small Business Economic Impact Statements may be inspected during regular business hours at the office of counsel to the Commission, Gouaux Law Firm, LLC, 111 Barataria Street, Lockport, Louisiana 70374.
Any interested person may appear at the hearing and present oral or written comments. Written comments may also be submitted in advance to Eugene G. Gouaux, III, Gouaux Law Firm, LLC, 111 Barataria Street, Lockport, Louisiana 70374, or by email to gene@gouauxlawfirm.com, and must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
