PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Blinds To Go (U.S.) Inc. has filed an application with the Eatontown Planning Board seeking Minor Site Plan Approval and bulk variance relief pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70(c) for property located at Block 2304, Lot 64, commonly known as 9 Route 36 West, Eatontown, New Jersey, and located within the B-5 Zone District.
The applicant proposes occupation of part of the existing building with a business known as Contractor Direct Windows, which will involve the retail sales of windows and doors. The application includes site improvements consisting of the reconfiguration of existing parking areas and the addition of parking spaces. While the proposed improvements will reduce the existing parking deficiency on the property, the deficiency will not be fully eliminated; therefore, variance relief is required.
Specifically, the applicant seeks the following bulk ("c") variances: to permit 20 parking spaces where 28 parking spaces are required; to permit front yard open space of 15.1 feet where 30 feet is required; to permit a setback to a residential zone of 22.5 feet where 50 feet is required; to permit off-street parking and loading areas located 15.1 feet from the street line where 20 feet is required; and to permit off-street parking and loading areas located 5.2 feet from the side yard where 10 feet is required.
No expansion of the existing building footprint is proposed. The property has historically been utilized for commercial purposes consistent with the proposed use.
The applicant also seeks any and all other variances, waivers, permits, approvals, interpretations, or design exceptions that may be required by the Planning Board or its professionals during the review and hearing process.
A public hearing on this application has been scheduled before the Eatontown Planning Board on July 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at Eatontown Borough Hall, 47 Broad Street, Eatontown, New Jersey. When this matter is called for hearing, any interested party may appear either in person or by attorney and present any comments or objections concerning the application and the relief requested.
This notice is being provided by the applicant. The application, plans, and supporting documents filed in connection with this matter are available for public inspection during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays), in the Planning and Zoning Department, Second Floor, Borough Hall, 47 Broad Street, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724.
