PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 20th of July, 2026 at 7:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building, 65 Mount Hope Road, Rockaway Township, New Jersey, the Planning Board of the Township of Rockaway will hold a public meeting on the development application filed by Pondview Estates, Inc. (the "Applicant") for the property located at Block 11501, Lot 41 on the Official Tax Map of the Township of Rockaway, at which time and place all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The subject property together with Block 11501, Lots 45 and 47.01 and 47.02 (f/k/a Lot 47) comprise the Pondview Estates development. The Applicant seeks minor subdivision approval for the subdivision of Lot 41 to create a separate lot (proposed Lot 41.02) for the firehouse building leased to the Township as per prior approvals together with the proposed remainder Lot 41.01 which will remain a part of the Pondview Estates development.
In connection with this application, the Applicant seeks bulk variance relief for the proposed Lot 41.01 for the parking setback for the firehouse building parking located approximately 15.3' and 25' from the side property lines where a minimum of 30' from any side property line is required (§54-29.15 B (4)).
The Applicant further seeks all relief including, but not limited to, any approvals, variances, waivers and/or exceptions that the Planning Board may deem necessary in connection with the application.
A copy of the materials submitted in support of this application are on file with the Planning Board Secretary of the Township of Rockaway and may be inspected during regular business hours at the Planning Board office located at 65 Mount Hope Road, Rockaway Township, New Jersey, by all interested parties prior to said meeting.
