Permissive Referendum PUBLIC NOTICE APALACHIN FIRE DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Apalachin Fire District, Tioga County, New York, at the regular meeting held on February 17, 2026, duly adopted, subject to a permissive referendum, a resolution, an abstract of which is as follows: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS TO EXPEND UP TO $300,000 FROM THE VEHICLE RESERVE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW AMBULANCE BODY (UPLIFT) AND ACCESSORIES THAT MAY BE REQUIRED OR APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF AMBULANCE 133 THAT HAS FAILED OR BECOME OBSOLETE, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM. RESOLUTION Dated February 17, 2026 RESOLVED, this 17th day of February 2026 by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Apalachin Fire District, Town of Owego, County of Tioga, State of New York, as follows: Section 1.The purchase of One (1) Ambulance Body and all necessary additions and modifications thereto and associated accessories including but not limited to scene safety lights, EMS tools, cabinet storage, and integration to the previously purchased 2024 Dodge Chassis authorized at a maximum cost of $300,000 pursuant to section 6-g of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Section 2. The plan for financing of the aforesaid object or purpose consists of an expenditure of up to $300,000.00 from the principal and accumulated interest of the vehicle capital reserve fund, duly established in 2003, to replace aged, failed, or obsolete fire apparatus. Section 3.This resolution shall be subject to permissive referendum, as permitted by law. BY ORDER OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE APALACHIN FIRE DISTRICT, OWEGO, NEW YORK.
