Planning Commission
At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Montgomery on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Auditorium in City Hall, at 103 North Perry Street, a public hearing will be held for consideration of the following items:
9395 NORTH RIPLEY STREET Request final approval of Alabama State Housing Parking Deck Plat No. 1 located on the west side of North Ripley Street, approximately 300 ft. south of Monroe Street, in a T5 (Urban Center Zoning District.
DP-2013-019 INDUSTRIAL PARK BOULEVARD Public hearing for a development plan for an addition to the building located at 840 Industrial Park Boulevard in a M-1 (Light Industry) Zoning District.
DP-1980-149 ATLANTA HIGHWAY Public hearing for a development plan for a new building to be located at 5345 Atlanta Highway in an INST (Institutional) Zoning District.
RZ-2026-001 ATLANTA HIGHWAY Request recommendation for approval to rezone property containing 18.08 acres (+/-) located on the southeast corner of Atlanta Highway and County Downs Road from O-1 (Office) and R-75-s (Single-Family Residential) Zoning Districts to a B-2 (Commercial) Zoning District.
RZ-2026-002 SELMA HIGHWAY Request recommendation for approval to rezone property containing 20.0 acres (+/-) located on the south side of Selma Highway, approximately 900 ft. west of Felder Road, from AGR-1 (Residential Agriculture) and M-1 (Light Industry) Zoning Districts to an M-1 (Light Industry) Zoning District.
RZ-2026-003 OAK STREET Request recommendation for approval to rezone one (1) lot on the northwest corner of Oak Street and Stephens Street (aka 1678 Oak Street) from a B-2 (Commercial) Zoning District to an R-60-a (Residential Apartments) Zoning District.
RZ-2026-004 VAUGHN ROAD Request recommendation for approval to rezone property containing 35.78 acres (+/-) located on the south side of Vaughn Road, approximately 800 ft. east of Deer Creek Way, from PGH-40 (Patio Garden Home) and B-3-Q (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning Districts to an INST (Institutional) Zoning District.
